No 8 - Marston´s Old Empire India Pale Ale
A somewhat peculiar nose with notes of burnt fudge, old lemon and some detergent. Somewhat foursquare and with a bitter note. There is some good yellow fruit in there but the peculiar notes dominate. On my way on a business trip I wanted something to read - and found a heavy book - "1001 Beers you must try before you die". An eye catching title and while browsing through it on the train I decided that I should do just that - try every beer in the book. This is my way of doing it...:-)
