No 119 - Pietra (France)

This is desribed as a chestnut beer - chestnut flour is added to the mash to provide fermentable sugars.
This stunner has a deep, elegant nose with lots of bread aromas paired with hazel nuts, milk chocolate and a nice creamy note. Very, very good. Wit air a steely note emerge, in a good way.
The taste is medium deep, on the light side but with lots of character, a very cool bitterness and a long, elegant finish. Notes of sweet lemons, milk chocolate and some earthy notes. Very yummy!
