No 121 - de Ranke Guldenberg (Belgium)

A deep, fine, complex nose with notes of sweet root vegetables, dried apricots and orange peel, and a very fine spicy character. A lovely nose. Some wet undergrowth after at while. Very, very good.
The taste is smooth, fine and pure with notes of sweet yellow fruit, a touch of white peppar, dried orange peel and a great, refreshing bitterness. The finish is long and intense. This is a beautiful strong ale.
