No 39 - Anchor Steam Beer

A deep, warm but somewhat musky nose with notes of dark caramell, dark bread and a touch of wet dog. A interesting, old fashioned nose, but not that hedonistic.
The taste is big, fine and creamy with very good sweet fruit and fine notes of caramell, dried fruits and sweet malt. A long, nice finish. A very good bitter note. The taste is very good but the musky nose holds it back from a great score.

No 38 - Hobgoblin

A dark, deep, malty nose with notes of honey, orange peel, butter biscuits and the scent of a old, english pub - very good! Pure and fine. This has character and finesse - for what it is.
The taste is medium big with some burned almonds, orange blossom honey and sweet malt. Long, creamy and lovely. A great english bitter!
