Two IPA:s

Had these two IPA:s over dinner the other night.

X57 - Belhaven Twisted Thistle IPA  (Scotland)
This has always been a favourite of mine - not that expressive, intense or "out there" - but just a good crafted, easy drinking and delicious beer.
The nose is medium deep and creamy with notes of fudge, sweet hay, almonds and cookie dough. Very good. A fine sweetness.
The taste is fine, fresh and rather elegant with notes of rose hip, fudge and warm gravel. A cool, nice bitterness. Very good.

No 91 - Green Flash West Coast India Pale Ale  (USA)
This is a different creature altoghether. The nose is very intense, deep and broad with masses of sweet peaches, lemoncello and summer flowers in their finest bloom. A deep, creamy, lovely nose.
The taste is big, deep and complex with notes of sweet hops, summer flowers, lemon peel and blood oranges. Long, long finish. A high bitterness that interacts well with the fruit. Very, very good.
