No 54 - De Koninck Amber

A fine, although somewhat light nose with notes of dark fudge, hay and sweet malt. Medium deep. Nice and friendly, but maybe a little too nice?
The taste is cool, nice and medium bodied with good dark fruit and a medium long finish. There is lot of medium things going on in this beer... This is a good beer, don´t get me wrong but I will forget it before I open the next beer, which is soon!

No 53 - De Dolle Stille Nacht (2009)

A great favourite of mine for those long, cold winter nights This is vintage 2009 and it is as good as ever!
The nose just oozes from the glas with notes of tangerines, honey, cookie dough and oranges. Very, very deep and lovely. Has a wonderful warm feeling about it.
The taste is big and just lovely creamy with lot of nice warmth and notes of oranges, fudge and some smoky notes. Very long and intense in the finish. At 12% you could expect to feel a alcohol somewhere in the taste, but here there is nothing. Very easy to drink. A great beer!

X22 - Trappistes Rochefort 6

A deep, tight and complex nose with notes of sweet malt, fudge, banana and muscovadosugar. Very deep and intense. Gotta like this one!
The taste is deep, sweet and lovely with sweet yellow fruit and some notes of root vegetables, fudge and undergrowth. Complex and very fine. Long, rounded finish that ends dry. Very, very good.

X21 - Fuller´s Old Winter Ale

A nice, dark nose with some christmas spices, smoky notes and notes of cocoa, orange peel, cream and resin. Nice but it doesn´t stand out in a the crowd of winter warmers.
The taste is medium bodied and fine with notes of smoke, red dried fruits and some cream. A cool, nice, soft finish. The bitterness in the finish is very good though. Good but nothing more.
