X44 - Dugges Avenyn By Night (Sweden)

The brewery call this an "Urban ale", and while poundering what that mean....I just go along and taste it!
The nose is very fruity but with a dark twist to the fruit. Next there is a lot of fresh summer flowers, masses of peaches and lemon peel. Very good. Peach ice cream!
The taste is fresh, fruity and very hoppy with lots of that peach flavor and a very nice bitterness. It also has that english urinal note in the end, a quality sign in my book! Very, very good. Another winner from this great brewery.

X42-43 - Two American IPA

Had these two delicious american IPA:s at a Stockholm pub the other week.

SKA Modus Hoperandi IPA  (USA)
The nose is deep and lovely with notes of freshly squeezed orange juice, summer flowers, honey and white peaches. Very fine and fruity. A lovely scent of heather. Very, very good.
The taste is cool, elegant and flowery with a beautiful freshness and a great sweetness. Medium long but very balanced. Lots of sweet yellow fruit. The nose somewhat outshines the taste but this is a keeper.

Avery India Pale Ale  (USA)
A very deep, intense nose with notes of Kellog´s cornflakes, cookie dough, sweet peaches and wet earth. A very interesting, complex nose. A touch of white chocolate. This is beautiful. Very, very deep.
The taste is not as opulent as the nose, but it has a lovely, elegant structure with a gorgeous, cleansing bitterness and a long, balanced finish. Just flows over the palate. Stunning beer!
