The taste is deep, complex and tight with sweet dark fruit and notes of fudge, candied orange peels, assorted nuts and wet earth. Very long and intense finish. A lovely bitterness ends the taste. A gorgeous beer but it doesn´t reach the height of the Tripel from this brewery - but this is a star all the same!
No 65 - Maredsous 8 Bruin
A very deep, creamy nose with notes of candied orange peel, milk chocolate, caramell and wet asphalt! Round, creamy and good, but without that really interesting character.
The taste is the same - round, creamy and very good with notes of milk chocolate, undergrowth, orange peels - but is lacks in the complexity department. Very good though - I will drink it again!
