X61 - Jenlain Blonde (France)

This blonde opens with a fine, soft, amost velvety nose with notes of sweet hay, cookie dough, cornflakes and a touch of vanilla pod. Very cool and nice, although not that deep.
The taste is cool, easy going but with character and nice notes of cookie dough, fudge and hay. Medium long finish with a nice bitterness. Easy to gulp down, with a very nice structure and lot of yummy elements. I could certainly make an acquaintance with this french blonde again.

No 95 - Karlovacko Pivo (Croatia)

This was a favourite of mine on a holiday in Croatia a few summers ago. Nice to get back together with it!

The nose is light, fresh and sprightly with notes of fresh bread, lemon, hay and a wet stone element. Very refreshing on the nose. A little metallic after a while, but not in a negative way.
The taste is pure, light and very refreshing with notes of freshly squeezed lemon juice, wet stones and a nice bread touch. Very pure. Not that long finish but it is very, very refreshing. A very nice lager!

Two americans at the pub...

No, not any nice american people (this time!) - but two nice american beers! :-)

No 93 - Dale´s Pale Ale  (USA)
A deep, fine, fruity nose with notes of peaches, caramell and some smoke. A fine creamy feeling. Very good. Lovely sweetness. Deep and very good!
The taste is cool, balanced and elegant with a light, fresh bitterness and notes of peaches, almonds and grass. A very nice finish, but maybe just a tad short. Very, very good.

No 94 - Left Hand Sawtooth Ale  (USA)
A deep, semi dark nose with notes of ripe banana, roasted nuts, orange peel and some coffee. Ripe and good. There is a touch of wet dog that comes and goes, but other than that, a very good beer.
The taste is soft and creamy with nice yellow/red fruit and notes of nuts, orange peel and fudge. A cool, nice bitterness. Very good but the wet dog element puts is behind the Dale.
